He has sold hundreds of properties and hasbeen a mentor and trainer to new and seasoned real estate professionalsthroughout the Las Vegas valley.
Rob developed his love for movies at anearly age by renting Betamax and VHS tapes from the local neighborhood videostore. He has watched thousands of movies and several he has watched multiple times. A couple of his favorites are the original “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”, “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”.
Rob found his passion for film making in 2004 as an Actor and Camera Operator on the horror film “Murder-Set-Pieces,” where he played a bus rider and shot the behind the scenes. He also was an actor that played a board member in the short film “Desperate Times”.
In 2010, Rob Founded Strong Image Films, LLC, a Las Vegas-based independent motion picture film production company assembled from creative and business entertainment industry professionals. His current position is Manager, Director, Producer and Writer. Strong Image Films has numerous projects in various stages of development including a crime drama and horror film. Rob became fascinated with all aspects of filmmaking and in 2011, attended The Hollywood Film Institute in Los Angeles. He became captivated by the work of directors, producers and writers and began writing “The Glass Circle”. A couple of his favorite directors, producers and writersare Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Stanley Kubrick and Oliver Stone. Quentin Tarantino went to The Hollywood Film Institute as well.
Rob’s goal is to produce a motion picturethat will entertain, surprise, touch the soul, break new ground and refresh thespirit of true independent filmmaking through provocative story-telling.
Towards the end of 2011 Strong Image Films began having open casting calls and Skype auditions. There were several hundredtalented Actors that showed up from many different states such as Arizona, California and New York. At one of the open casting calls there was such a tremendous outcome the wait was over sevenhours to audition.
Strong Image Films has put together an amazing cast of extraordinary Actors so far. There are still several character roles that are still available at this time.
The production of a film is a team effortand it has been amazing how everyone has helped out. Rob’s brother Jeff Marchitti and friend Christina Hall have been an enormous help as Associate Producers. David White II and Maylanie White were a big help at the open casting calls and Skype auditions as Casting Associates.
“The Glass Circle” is a very fast-paced crime drama thriller with ultra violence, brief nudity, profanity and extreme drug usage. It tells the story of a Las Vegas drug dealer who lives a crazed drugged out lifestyle alongside many gonzo cronies, but eventually opts out of the business before it destroys him.
The story was written not to glamorize drugs but to show a raw gritty realistic lifestyle with a lot of pathos. It takes place in the city of sin from the seedy streets of Downtown Las Vegas to the posh suites of the Strip.
The Glass Circle Entertainment, LLC was formed in July, 2012 by Rob Marchitti as an investment company for the motion picture feature film and is budgeted to be produced at $2.5 million Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Low Budget Agreement Signatory. The film will take approximately 22 days to shoot and plan on shooting 5-day work weeks.
Strong Image Films powerful branding strategy is taking a controversial position in the entertainment industry with the film. The sensitivity of the content will create controversy which will lead to terrific and profitable promotion.
The strongest aspect of “The Glass Circle” is undoubtedly its premise. Crime drama films are always fairly resilient at the box office. What more, “The Glass Circle” focuses on crystal methamphetamine’s which is a relatively untouched subject in the world of crime cinema.
Despite a dwindling economy, films remain strong and posts impressive figures every year. In the last depression, the film industry went up because going to the movies were a cheap form of entertainment and in hard times, people naturally gravitate toward escapism.
Rob is working diligently towards principle photography, which is slated towards the end of 2012. Almost all of the shooting locations have been scouted, secured and confirmed in Las Vegas.
